2022 Nissan Pathfinder vs 2020 Nissan Pathfinder
Serving Farmington Hills, MI
The Pathfinder is a midsize crossover SUV that has been a mainstay in Nissan’s SUV lineup for years. This three-row model breaks into its fifth generation in 2022 with brilliant updates from bumper to bumper. Because there was no 2021 version, you may be eager to compare the 2022 Pathfinder to the version offered in 2020. Our Suburban Nissan of Farmington Hills sales reps are available to support your detailed model comparison.
Performance
All four of the 2022 Pathfinder trim levels are equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 gas engine and nine-speed auto transmission. These combine to deliver 284 horsepower. You can choose between front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Compared to the 2020 Pathfinder, the steering and suspension systems have been fine-tuned. In addition, the 2020 Pathfinder has the same engine, but it is paired with a continuously variable transmission.
Appearance
Throughout the exterior, the 2022 Pathfinder has a boxier shape that exudes confidence. It also has a more extensive and broader grille, but the grille retains the V-motion design that Nissan is known for. In addition, the headlights have been reshaped. On the 2020 Pathfinder, the headlights are slightly skewed to create a diamond-like shape. The 2022 Pathfinder has a pair of rectangular headlights capped by a separated, curved LED light bar. In addition, the 2022 Pathfinder has defined fenders, prominent lower-body molding, and roof rails.
Features
For both years, the Pathfinder has an 8-inch touch display screen with smart device integration and a three-zone climate control system at the base trim level. The 2022 version adds a blind-spot monitor, forward collision mitigation, a lane departure warning, and other features. As you progress up the trim line, the 2022 Pathfinder adds heated front seats, lane-keep assist, heated side mirrors, remote start, a sunroof, a power liftgate, leather material, a larger touch display screen, a surround-view camera, an integrated navigation system, and other equipment.
